This website was created to provide information useful to actuaries and other members of the general public who are interested in our profession. The reason why this wiki exists independently of the more well-known Wikipedia is because there may be articles that don't meet the notability requirements of Wikipedia, such as information on recruiters, employers, societies, and actuarial mathematics. Furthermore, actuaries may be more comfortable contributing to a wiki if they know that it is administered by their fellow actuaries. |
